DURABLE
UK Limited – PRIVACY STATEMENT
TRUST PLEDGE:
We appreciate how important it is to our customers that their
personal information is kept private and protected. You
can be assured that we will do our very best to ensure
that our websites are secure so that your confidentiality
is maintained. As you would expect we adhere to the provisions
of the Data Protection Act 1998, which gives you complete
control over the information stored about you and how we
contact you in future.
We have a clear policy that the information customers give
us is only to be used for communication between ourselves. Under
no circumstances would we pass on your details to any other
organisation, for them to contact customers directly for
marketing purposes.
Information We Collect:
We only collect information you specifically and voluntarily
provide, and when you just visit our websites we only recognise
your IP address and not your email address. Only if you complete
our online forms, apply for free samples, participate in
an online survey or send us an email message will we then
see your email address.
What We Do With The Information:
Essentially the information is used to provide you with the
service you have requested, or to answer an enquiry. Completion
of surveys helps us better understand customer requirements
and gain feedback about our products. Similarly free samples
are distributed periodically so customers can try out particular
items in our range for themselves. As well as analysing responses
we also like to stay in touch with customers who have contacted
us.
We regularly update our product range and periodically run
special offers, contests and discount promotions. Most customers
welcome us keeping in touch with this news. However, at any
time you can stop marketing communication from us – either
by indicating this choice via the email ‘opt-out’ box,
or by sending an email to: info@durable-uk.com .
Cookies & Access:
Cookies are small software files that store and collect information
regarding customers’ usage of our website. They are
stored by the computer browser on the hard drive to send information
back to our web server when you access our website. They
do not contain any personally identifying information, but
they do enable us to put in place personal settings and load
your personal preferences. This makes it a better, more
relevant experience for you. You can always choose not to receive
a cookie file by enabling your web browser to refuse cookies.
How to do this depends on your internet browser and it is impractical
for us to detail the process here and you should visit the
relevant site such as Internet Explorer or Netscape to receive
all the information you will need.
You can ask at any time for access to the personal information
we hold about you. Either email us at info@durable-uk.com or
write to DURABLE (UK) Ltd, 10 Nimrod Way, Wimborne, Dorset
BH21 7SH. You are entitled to be told by us, as the data
controller, what personal information we hold and how it is
used. You will receive the information within 14 days of receipt
of request.
Future Policy:
Whilst we do not envisage any alterations to this policy, should
circumstances, legislation or technology change we may need
to update this. In this event, we will highlight any
revisions and post them on the Computer Cleaning Week website. |
